About the role
Triangulate Digital is a paid media agency for VC and PE-backed B2B SaaS companies, mostly in the US and Canada. We run paid media mainly on Google and LinkedIn, for clients spending from about $30k to over $100k a month.
I'm hiring my first Paid Media Operator: someone who can execute accurately today and grow into owning clients. You'll start by running campaigns alongside me: building, optimising, QA and reporting. Once you've proved the quality of your work, you'll progress toward owning 2 to 4 accounts end to end, including the client relationship. Ownership is earned on evidence, not on a fixed date. It's a full-time, fully remote role, and a full-time commitment to Triangulate.
Why work with me
I've spent 10 years in B2B SaaS marketing. I worked at Directive, one of the biggest B2B SaaS agencies, then spent 5 years consulting for SaaS companies across the US and Canada. Now I'm building Triangulate Digital, and you'd be my first hire.
Real brands, real budgets. Well-known B2B SaaS companies spending $30k to over $100k a month.
Learn directly from me. No layers of account managers. You get my playbooks and feedback every week.
A clear path up. Start by executing, then run your own clients end to end. Your pay grows as you take on more.
Shape how we work. As the first person on the team, you help build the processes everyone after you will use.
What you'll do
First 90 days: execute reliably across your assigned accounts, with no preventable errors, missed deadlines or rework for me
Build campaigns in Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, and other channels where they fit
Run weekly optimisation on each account: budgets and pacing, bids, search terms, audiences and creative rotation
QA everything before it goes live: conversion tracking, UTMs, targeting and budgets
Connect channel performance to CRM and attribution data, so we judge campaigns on pipeline and revenue, not platform metrics
Maintain client dashboards, and draft weekly updates and monthly reports from our templates
Spot problems early, such as broken tracking, overspend or spend with no conversions, and flag them the same day
Help turn how we work into checklists, so the work gets more consistent over time
Once you've earned client ownership
Progress toward owning 2 to 4 accounts, with capacity set by account complexity and the quality you've shown
Understand each client's goals, economics and measurement, and find the main thing holding performance back, even when it sits outside paid media
Build and lead paid media strategies tied to pipeline and revenue
Lead weekly client calls, day-to-day Slack, and monthly and quarterly business reviews
What success looks like
Campaigns launch with no tracking, targeting or budget errors
Problems are flagged the same day you spot them, with a suggested fix
Weekly updates and monthly reports land on time and need few edits
I can trust a change you've made without re-checking it
Over time, you run your clients without me carrying the strategy, and clients clearly understand what's happening, why, and what comes next
The work reduces my review and correction time over time. If every task still needs to be rebuilt by me, the role isn't working.
How we work together
You start behind me. I lead client calls, strategy and sign-off at first. You join calls as you're ready, then lead them.
Autonomy grows with trust. At first you propose changes and I approve them before they go live. Routine work, then whole clients, move to you as we build a track record together.
Daily: a short end-of-day note in Slack covering what you did, what's next and anything blocked.
Weekly: a 30-minute review of every account together.
Hours: full-time and flexible, with at least 3 hours a day overlapping 1pm to 6pm UK time, and some overlap with US Eastern time for client calls once you own clients.
Tools: Slack, Google Workspace, the ad platforms and the AI tools we use for reporting and analysis.
What I'm looking for
2+ years of strong hands-on experience with Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads for B2B companies, ideally SaaS and ideally at an agency
Experience running at least 3 accounts at once, with monthly budgets of $20k or more
A strong understanding of B2B demand generation, ABM and measurement
Experience using CRM and attribution data to judge paid media performance
Confidence with conversion tracking: Google Tag Manager, GA4, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, and CRM data from HubSpot or Salesforce
Clear written and verbal English, and the confidence to present recommendations to marketing leaders
The habit of flagging issues early rather than waiting to be asked, and someone who follows a process precisely
A track record of taking ownership when something is unclear, blocked or going wrong, with a specific example and measurable result
Based outside the UK
Nice to have: Meta, Reddit or Microsoft Ads; ABM and attribution tools such as 6sense, Demandbase or Fibbler; Looker Studio.
Pay and contract
Pay: $4,000 to $5,000 a month in USD to start, depending on experience and the scope you can own, and higher for candidates who can own clients from day one. Paid by bank transfer. Pay is reviewed as your responsibility grows, including when you start owning clients.
Contract: full-time contractor agreement with an NDA. This is intended to be a full-time commitment to Triangulate Digital: you wouldn't take on other client work during your agreed working hours.
Trial and notice: the first 90 days are an initial trial period. It starts with a 30-day paid trial on one live account, with 7 days' notice on either side. If it's working, at day 90 we move to an ongoing contractor agreement, with 30 days' notice on either side.
What you get: hands-on training from me, and access to the playbooks, tools and resources I use across B2B SaaS accounts. You'll work with well-known B2B SaaS brands, and you can take time off when you need it, with notice.
Hiring process
Application form, about 15 minutes.
Interview, 45 minutes: your experience, a walk through your career role by role, and your questions about the role.
Paid practical assessment, 30 to 45 minutes: you receive a sanitised B2B SaaS ad account beforehand, then present what you would investigate, what you would change, what you would leave alone, what data is missing, and how confident you are in each recommendation.
References: a quick chat with one or two people you've worked with.
30-day paid trial: on one live account, after references and contract signing. Live work proves reliability.
Ongoing contract: if the fit is right, we review at day 90 and you move into the full role.
How to apply: fill in the application form. I review applications as they come in.
