Overview:

This opportunity is supporting a large-scale, multi-year Oracle business transformation for a major utility organization. The company is implementing several Oracle platforms across the enterprise, including Oracle NMS (Network Management System), Customer-to-Meter (C2M), Oracle Field Service, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), with a major go-live scheduled later this year.

The team is looking to bring more integration expertise in-house rather than relying on external consulting partners, creating an opportunity for an experienced Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Engineer to play a key role in building and supporting enterprise integrations. This is a hands-on engineering position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between critical utility and operational systems.



The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, service-oriented architectures, API integrations, file-based integrations, data transformations, and Oracle technologies such as MFT, WebLogic, and OCI. The environment is highly complex, supporting business-critical systems tied to utility operations, customer management, and grid technologies.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys solving integration challenges, troubleshooting complex workflows, and working across multiple enterprise systems. The team is looking for a technical engineer who can quickly contribute and help modernize the organization's integration landscape while supporting


Core Technical Skills:

Strong experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) – building integrations, orchestrations, and managing connections/adapters
Hands-on experience in service-oriented architecture implementations
Proficiency in Oracle Managed File Transfer (MFT) for secure file-based integrations
Experience with REST/SOAP web services, XML, XSD, WSDL, and JSON
Strong expertise in data mapping, transformations, and canonical models
Hands-on experience with XSLT and XQuery for complex transformations
Good understanding of relational databases and strong SQL skills (queries, joins, procedures, performance basics)
Strong understanding of error handling, fault management, and retry mechanisms in integration flows
Unix / Linux experience
Experience with Oracle WebLogic
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Integrations


Supporting / Secondary Skills:

Working knowledge of cron jobs / scheduling mechanisms for automation and job orchestration
Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD pipelines, code repositories, and release management
Hands-on experience with Git for version control, branching, and code collaboration
Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting integrations and interfaces
Ability to analyze logs, track failures, and ensure system reliability and performance


Good to Have:

Knowledge of OAuth and other security protocols (SSL, SFTP, etc.)
Experience in DevOps practices and automated deployments
Understanding of enterprise integration patterns
Basic knowledge of shell scripting for automation and operational tasks
Working knowledge of PL/SQL (procedures, packages, performance tuning basics)
Knowledge of Distribution Management Systems
Knowledge of SCADA system and configuration, ICCP protocol
