My WooCommerce store on a shared SiteGround plan keeps hitting their resource ceiling. SiteGround automatically suspends the site several times a day and their logs show waves of unfinished SQL queries piling up until new requests tip us over the limit. As a result I’m facing frequent downtime, very high CPU usage and painfully slow page loads that are costing sales.
I need someone who knows WordPress, WooCommerce and SiteGround’s architecture inside-out to:
• trace and fix the slow queries or loops that are stacking up
• review theme, plugin and custom-code interactions that might be spawning excess calls
• configure or fine-tune caching (SiteGround Optimizer, object cache, browser cache) so requests are served faster instead of re-querying the database
• optimise the MySQL database itself—indexes, transients, cleanup—so it can handle concurrent orders smoothly
• suggest or implement lightweight replacements for any heavy plugins you identify
Acceptance criteria
• No suspensions for at least seven consecutive days under normal traffic
• Average server response time below 300 ms on key pages (home, product, checkout) measured with GTmetrix or similar
• CPU seconds and entry processes remain comfortably within SiteGround’s daily allowance, confirmed in the cPanel statistics
You will have full staging access as well as WP-Admin and phpMyAdmin credentials. Once your work is proven on staging, I’ll schedule a short maintenance window for you to apply the fixes to production.
