Hey! We're The Askowitz Group, a real estate team in Miami. We're looking for a video editor for steady, long-term work: about 40 Shorts a month for our Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Most of the videos are talking-head clips of our agents answering real estate questions, sharing market updates, and talking about Miami neighborhoods.
We need someone who does more than cut footage. You should understand pacing, storytelling, and retention, and know how to make simple footage look clean and polished.
What you'll work on
* Vertical short-form edits (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
* Animated text and motion graphics in After Effects
* Lower thirds, callouts, simple maps, and logo animations
* B-roll, screenshots, music, and sound design
* Instagram carousels and simple social graphics
* Revisions based on feedback, following our brand guidelines
Must have
* Strong Final Cut Pro skills (required, since our projects are built in FCP)
* Strong After Effects skills (required)
* A portfolio of talking-head short-form edits
* You watch a lot of TikTok and Reels and know what makes someone keep watching
* You're fast and hit your deadlines: 48 hours max per video
* You can work on your own without someone checking every step, and you ask good questions when something's missing
Nice to have: Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva. Real estate or local business content is a plus.
The style
Clean, modern, and professional. No effects just for the sake of effects. You should know when a video needs B-roll, animated text, a zoom, a graphic, or a map, and when it just needs a clean cut.
Pay
Pay
$14–$25 USD per edit, depending on your experience and how your test edit turns out. At our volume (around 40 edits a month), that's $560–$1,000/month of steady, ongoing work.
We start with 1 paid test edit using our real footage. Your rate is set based on that test.
How it works

2. Shortlisted editors get 1 paid test edit
3. If the test goes well, we do a quick 20-minute call
4. Then we start the ongoing work
