Ofqual Accreditation for UK Institute

Our UK-based training institute is ready to move beyond centre status and secure full recognition as an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. The qualifications we intend to offer are work-focused, centred on Business, Leadership, and Customer Service, so every document, process, and quality system you develop must stand up to Ofqual’s AO Criteria and map cleanly to the RQF.

I already have outline syllabi, internal assessment methods, and some policies drafted, but they need refining and, in places, rebuilding so they align with Ofqual’s governance, safeguarding, equality, and centre-monitoring expectations. I will also need guidance on structuring a robust quality management system that can evidence delivery, moderation, and continuous improvement from day one.

Key deliverables
• Initial gap-analysis report highlighting all actions needed for AO status
• Compliant policy suite (governance, complaints, malpractice, assessment, moderation, data, safeguarding) ready for submission
• Qualification specifications fully mapped to the RQF at appropriate levels and credit values
• Application pack completed on Ofqual’s online portal, including financial forecasts and governance statements
• Mock audit or readiness review to prepare senior staff for Ofqual interviews

Clear, concise communication and experience with recent successful Ofqual submissions are essential. If you also have insight into e-portfolio or digital badge integration for future qualifications, please highlight it, as this may become a follow-on phase.
