**1. Questionnaire (6–8 questions)**
- Services: HVAC only / Plumbing only / Both
- Team size: Solo + helper / 2–5 techs / 6+ techs
- Scheduling software: ServiceTitan / Housecall Pro / Jobber / Google Calendar / Other or None
- Climate focus: Cold / Hot / Mixed
- Biggest pain points: pick up to 3 from a list you propose (e.g. callbacks, no-shows, slow invoicing, missing parts, new-tech mistakes, after-hours chaos)
- Dispatch: Dedicated dispatcher / Owner-operated
- Business name and logo (optional, shown on the output)
**2. How customization works**
- Each answer must visibly change the output, by including or leaving out SOPs, sections or steps, and by swapping in role names, software-specific steps, seasonal notes or pain-point tips.
- Please include a one-page map showing what each answer changes.
- Business name, owner role names and software name should fill in automatically wherever they appear.
**3. SOP structure (the same for every SOP)**
Title, Purpose, Scope, Owner/Roles, Tools, Numbered Steps, Quality Checks, Exceptions and Escalation, Common Mistakes, Notes (optional, editable).
**4. SOP content (you write it)**
- Write original, practical content for all 10 SOPs below, aimed at HVAC and plumbing service businesses, at 400–900 words per SOP.
- Include step variations for each answer option (team size, software, climate, dispatcher, pain points).
- Base it on common industry practice. Safety steps should follow general OSHA and EPA guidance, like lockout/tagout, refrigerant handling and gas leak response. Include a disclaimer that buyers should adjust it for local codes and their own business.
- No copied or AI-spun text from other products. Please confirm all content is original.
- Content must live in one separate, plain data file (JSON or a JS object) that I can edit without touching the code.
- Adding an 11th SOP should only require adding one entry to that file.
SOPs to include:
1. Service Call Intake & Qualification
2. Dispatch & Daily Scheduling
3. On-Site Arrival, Greeting & Diagnosis
4. Job Close-Out, Testing & Customer Handoff
5. Safety & Hazard Control
6. Parts Verification, Van Stock & Inventory
7. New Tech Onboarding & First-Week
8. Invoicing, Payment & Follow-Up
9. Emergency / After-Hours Call Handling
10. Callback Reduction & Quality Review
**5. Output and editing**
- Clean on-screen preview with a table of contents.
- Copy any single SOP to the clipboard, keeping its formatting when pasted into Google Docs, Word or Notion.
- Print or save the full set as a PDF from the browser on US Letter: each SOP starts on a new page, has a header (business name) and page numbers, and contains no UI buttons.
- Download the full set as an editable file (.docx or .md).
- Edit text in place before exporting, with a "Reset to original" option.
- Answers save locally (localStorage) so a refresh doesn't lose work.
**6. Technical requirements**
- Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript; no frameworks unless you clearly justify one.
- Works offline in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and tablet (iPad portrait and landscape).
- Professional, modern UI with a contractor-friendly look, not a generic Bootstrap template.
- No console errors, and readable, commented code.
- Basic accessibility: keyboard navigation, readable contrast and labelled form fields.
**7. Deliverables**
1. The tool (single HTML file or ZIP).
2. The content data file with all 10 SOPs.
3. A user guide (PDF): how to use the tool, export, and edit in Google Docs or Notion.
4. A developer note (markdown): file structure, how to add or edit SOPs and questions, and how the customization map works.
5. All source files, including any design files.
**8. Milestones**
1. 1–2 UI mockups, the content schema, the pain-point list, and one fully written sample SOP so I can approve the tone and depth.
2. A working prototype with the questionnaire and 3 SOPs fully written and customizing.
3. All 10 SOPs written and built in, with export, print and copy working, plus the guides.
4. Final fixes after my testing (one round of revisions included).
**9. Acceptance tests (I'll check these before approving)**
- Works with Wi-Fi off in all 4 browsers.
- 3 different answer sets (e.g. solo HVAC in a cold climate, a 2–5 tech plumbing shop on Jobber, a larger "Both" company with a dispatcher) produce clearly different, correct output.
- Printing creates a clean PDF with no cut-off text.
- Copy-paste into Google Docs keeps headings and numbered steps.
- Adding a test SOP to the content file makes it appear without any code changes.
**10. Rights**
All code, design and written content are original work. Full ownership and the right to resell transfer to me on final payment. Any third-party code must use a license that allows commercial resale (e.g. MIT), and must be listed in the developer note.
