I want to build an AI-powered chatbot that runs entirely offline and keeps my middle-school students engaged through interactive lessons. Its core job is not just to answer questions but to guide learners through dynamic experiences—quizzes and assessments, lively interactive storytelling, plus hands-on activities and experiments that encourage real-world exploration.
The system must:
• Operate without any internet connection once installed.
• Detect the student’s progress in real time and adapt the next question, story branch, or activity accordingly.
• Store all session data locally for later export.
Preferred workflow
1. We discuss the curriculum topics and learning objectives.
2. You propose the chatbot architecture, suggest the local model or rule-based setup, and outline how quizzes, branching stories, and activity prompts will be delivered.
3. After agreement, you develop a working prototype, package it for Windows and macOS, and include clear installation and teacher-facing instructions.
Acceptance criteria
• Runs fully offline on a standard laptop.
• Delivers at least one example for each lesson type: a scored quiz, an interactive story with branching paths, and a guided experiment outline.
• Provides a simple teacher dashboard to review results and tweak content.
If you have experience with local LLMs (e.g., Llama-cpp, GPT-J), Python, or Node-JS chat frameworks and understand middle-school pedagogy, I’m ready to collaborate right away.
