Job Description

I need an independent developer to execute a very small, self-contained Node.js research package exactly as supplied and return the resulting output files and execution metadata.

This is not a development task.

You must not modify, improve, debug, rewrite or interpret the code. The purpose is simply to demonstrate that the supplied package can be executed independently in a separate environment and that the resulting output can later be independently verified.

The package contains only three files:

* assignment.json
* worker.mjs
* README.md

There are no npm dependencies and no installation/build process beyond having Node.js available.

Required Environment

* Your own computer or independently controlled virtual machine
* Node.js 18 or newer
* No access to our internal systems is required
* Do not request access to our database, repository, verifier or other software

Exact Task

1. Download the three supplied files without modifying them.
2. Calculate and record the SHA-256 checksum of:
* assignment.json
* worker.mjs
3. Record:
* operating system
* Node.js version (node --version)
* execution date/time, preferably UTC
4. Run exactly:

node worker.mjs assignment.json worker-output.json

5. Do not edit worker-output.json.
6. Calculate the SHA-256 checksum of the resulting:
* worker-output.json
7. Return all of the following to me:
* untouched worker-output.json
* SHA-256 of assignment.json
* SHA-256 of worker.mjs
* SHA-256 of worker-output.json
* Node.js version
* operating system
* execution timestamp
* the terminal output produced by the command

Important Restrictions

Please do not:

* edit any supplied file;
* modify the script;
* attempt to optimise or fix anything;
* run a different implementation;
* add an ACCEPT/REJECT judgement;
* determine whether the scientific result is correct;
* access any of our internal systems.

Your role is simply to act as an independent execution environment and return the exact resulting artifact.

If the script produces an error, do not modify anything. Return the error output exactly as produced.

Deliverable

One ZIP containing:

* worker-output.json
* a text file called execution-record.txt

execution-record.txt should contain:

* Your name / Freelancer username
* OS
* Node.js version
* UTC execution timestamp
* SHA-256 assignment.json
* SHA-256 worker.mjs
* SHA-256 worker-output.json
* Exact terminal output

Expected Time

This should take approximately 10–15 minutes for someone familiar with Node.js and command-line tools.
