AI / Full-Stack Developer Needed — Nexora Personal AI + Connected Device Ecosystem MVP (£800/Month)
Budget: £800 GBP per month
Initial contract: 3 months
Potential: Long-term development relationship
Work: Remote
Project: Early-stage consumer technology / AI ecosystem
Job description:
I am the founder of an early-stage UK consumer technology company called Nexora Technologies.
I am developing a connected technology ecosystem consisting of AI software, headphones, a compact AI desktop computer, monitor and eventually a smartphone.
I have attached original concept images showing the proposed Nexora ecosystem, products and user interface. These images are concept references and should be used to understand the direction of the project.
I am NOT asking for all hardware to be engineered for £800/month.
This Freelancer project is specifically for development of the first working Nexora Personal AI software MVP and the software foundation that could eventually connect the wider ecosystem.
My development budget is approximately £800 GBP per month, so the project must be developed in clearly defined stages.
The Nexora vision
The eventual ecosystem is intended to include:
Nexora Personal AI — permission-based personal AI assistant
Nexora Hub — account, preferences and connected-device layer
Nexora Core — compact AI desktop
Nexora Pulse — future ANC/AI headphones
Nexora E1 — wired in-ear headphones
Nexora Display — monitor
Nexora One — future AI smartphone
The long-term idea is that a customer’s Personal AI can eventually follow them across Nexora devices while the customer controls what information is remembered and what devices the AI can access.
Phase 1 — Personal AI MVP
The first deliverable should be a polished desktop application demonstrating the Nexora concept.
The main dashboard should include:
Ask Nexora
Conversational Personal AI interface.
Listen
Audio/music section and future headphone integration area.
Learn
Educational assistant where users can ask questions, receive explanations and eventually access lessons.
Create
AI-assisted creative workspace.
Communicate
Future communication tools.
My Day
Tasks, reminders and daily information.
Focus
Focus timer and distraction-reduction interface.
Devices
Device-management screen showing Nexora Core, Pulse, One and other future devices.
The application should have an original Nexora visual identity based on the attached images.
Do not copy Apple, Microsoft, Google, OpenAI or another company’s UI.
Personal AI
The developer should integrate an established LLM API initially rather than attempting to train a foundation model from scratch.
The architecture should make it possible to change AI providers later.
Required functionality:
• Natural-language conversations
• Conversation history
• Streaming responses
• New conversation
• Search conversations
• Rename/delete conversations
• User preferences
• Permission-controlled Personal AI memory
• Basic tool/function calling architecture
• Error handling
• Usage controls
• Secure API-key handling
The AI should have a configurable Nexora system/personality layer.
Personal AI Memory
Privacy and user control are extremely important.
Create a dedicated:
AI Memory & Privacy
screen.
Users should eventually be able to:
• See what the Personal AI remembers
• Add preferences manually
• Edit remembered information
• Delete individual memories
• Clear memories
• Disable memory
• Decide which categories can be remembered
• Control whether information synchronises between devices
The software should never secretly collect information.
Nexora Hub
Build the initial Hub/database architecture for:
User account
Profile
Preferences
AI settings
AI memories
Devices
Device permissions
Conversations
Learning progress
Notification preferences
For Phase 1, physical devices can be represented using simulated/demo devices.
Example:
Nexora Core — Connected
Nexora Pulse — Demo Device
Nexora One — Future Device
I want the investor demonstration to show how the ecosystem could eventually operate without falsely claiming that unfinished hardware already works.
Headphone software demonstration
Create a simulated Nexora Pulse control interface based on the attached product concept.
Controls can include:
ANC
Transparency
Normal
Sound Profile
EQ
Battery
Connected Devices
Personalised Audio
Head Tracking — Future Feature
For the MVP these controls can operate against a software simulator/mock device.
Actual Bluetooth/ANC firmware integration will be a separate engineering project once functional hardware exists.
Accessibility
Accessibility is central to the Nexora concept.
Please include:
• Adjustable text size
• High-contrast option
• Reduced animation/motion
• Keyboard navigation
• Clear navigation
• Simple interface mode
• Adjustable notification intensity
• Optional reduced sensory interface
• Screen-reader-friendly controls where practical
Do not make medical-treatment or diagnostic claims.
Suggested technical architecture
I am open to recommendations, but one possible architecture is:
Desktop
TypeScript
React
Tauri
System/native functionality
Rust
Backend
Python
FastAPI
AI/ML
Python
Database
PostgreSQL for cloud/server
SQLite locally where appropriate
Authentication
Secure OAuth/OIDC-compatible architecture
API
REST/WebSocket where appropriate
The code should be modular so future Android, web and hardware applications can communicate with the same backend.
Future Android smartphone
Do NOT build a complete smartphone operating system during Phase 1.
Instead, structure the backend/API so a future Android application can connect to:
Nexora account
Personal AI
Memory
Preferences
Learning
Connected devices
Nexora Hub
Future Android development will likely use Kotlin/Jetpack Compose.
Future headphones
Do NOT attempt to develop ANC DSP algorithms without the actual headphone hardware/chipset/SDK.
Future Nexora Pulse development may require:
C/C++ firmware
Bluetooth SDK
DSP
ANC algorithms
EQ
OTA firmware
Device protocol
That will be a later hardware/software engineering project.
Investor demonstration mode
I specifically want an attractive Demo Mode suitable for investor presentations.
Demo Mode should demonstrate:
User signs into Nexora
→ Personal AI welcomes user
→ user asks Nexora something
→ AI responds
→ AI recalls an approved preference
→ user opens Devices
→ Pulse appears connected
→ user changes simulated ANC mode
→ user opens Focus
→ starts Focus Mode
→ user opens Learn
→ asks an educational question
→ Nexora answers
→ user views AI Memory
→ user can see/delete stored preferences.
The demonstration should look polished enough to record for an investor pitch video.
Intellectual property
Before starting, I will require an NDA/IP agreement.
All custom work paid for under the project should be delivered to me, including where applicable:
Source code
UI files
Database schema
API documentation
Build instructions
Design assets created specifically for the project
Technical documentation
The developer must not reuse confidential Nexora materials or proprietary project assets for unrelated customers without permission.
Please identify any third-party/open-source components and their licences.
£800/month budget
Please do not bid if you expect £800/month to deliver the complete final ecosystem immediately.
I am deliberately developing this incrementally.
A possible first three-month structure is:
Month 1 — £800
Application foundation
Nexora UI/design system
Login/profile
Main dashboard
Ask Nexora
LLM integration
Conversation interface
Month 2 — £800
Personal AI memory
Privacy controls
Nexora Hub backend
Device management
Simulated Nexora Pulse
Focus Mode
Month 3 — £800
Learn
Create
Accessibility controls
Investor Demo Mode
Bug fixing
Documentation
Packaged desktop demonstration build
Initial software budget: £2,400 across three months.
If development goes well, I would like to continue at approximately £800/month and progressively add functionality.
When applying
Please answer these questions:
1. What AI applications have you previously built?
2. Have you built desktop applications using React/Tauri/Electron?
3. Have you worked with Python/FastAPI?
4. Which LLM APIs or local models have you integrated?
5. Have you implemented AI memory/RAG/vector databases?
6. Have you developed Bluetooth or consumer-electronics companion applications?
7. Have you worked with Android/Kotlin?
8. Have you worked with embedded hardware or IoT devices?
9. Can you work within £800/month using milestone-based development?
10. What would you realistically complete during the first three months?
11. Please provide GitHub/code examples or previous applications where possible.
12. Are you willing to sign an NDA and IP-assignment agreement?
Important: Please do not send a generic AI-generated proposal. Start your application with the words:
NEXORA ECOSYSTEM
and briefly explain how you would architect the first MVP.
