I’m looking for a seasoned .NET engineer who can take full ownership of several production-grade web applications. Day to day you’ll be expanding existing ASP.NET MVC and .NET 8 services, building new REST endpoints, and tightening performance at both the C# and database levels.
Our stack is firmly Microsoft—C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core/.NET 8, Web API, SQL Server—yet parts of the platform also run on PostgreSQL and live in Azure. On the front end you’ll touch jQuery and Kendo UI widgets. Most data interchange happens through XML and JSON, but a critical workflow pushes and pulls structured Excel files, so solid experience manipulating Excel programmatically is essential.
You’ll diagnose and squash bugs, refactor legacy code, design efficient queries, and guide deployments through test to production. Once releases are live, I’ll rely on you to monitor and support them, keeping SLA-critical services healthy.
Key deliverables
• New and extended REST API endpoints, documented and unit-tested
• Optimised T-SQL and PL/pgSQL queries verified against realistic loads
• Excel import/export modules that map cleanly to existing domain models
• Performance and security fixes merged into the main branch with clear release notes
• Azure pipelines or scripts that handle build, deploy, and rollback steps
If you’ve shipped applications with this toolset and enjoy balancing new feature work with ongoing maintenance, let’s talk.
