My book Ruined: Seven Decisions That Ruin a Life runs a little over 37,000 words—about four finished hours. I will voice the opening “confession”; you will narrate everything that follows and master only your own chapters so they blend naturally beside mine.

Ruined is hard-hitting non-fiction built on five years of fieldwork inside drug crews, white-nationalist circles and religious zealotry, backed by more than two hundred research papers. The text is direct, sometimes profane, and shifts quickly between humour and tragedy. I need a warm, intelligent, conversational delivery—never a radio announcer, never melodramatic. A neutral Australian accent is ideal. Please keep a single, consistent narration voice even when quoting others.

Technical acceptance is crucial. Your studio (professional or properly treated home space) must let you hit Audible/ACX specs:

• 44.1 kHz, 192 kbps CBR MP3
• RMS −23 dB to −18 dB, peaks ≤ −3 dB
• Noise floor below −60 dB
• Each chapter separate, with 0.5–1 s room tone at the head and 1–5 s at the tail

To be considered, send your per-finished-hour rate, two or three non-fiction samples, your turnaround estimate, and confirmation that editing and mastering are included. Short-listed narrators will receive a two-page excerpt for an audition.

If you can make tough material feel honest, human and seamless, I’d love to hear you.
