Music Lead Personalisation Writer

I’m looking for reliable freelancers to research independent music artists for an Australian music marketing agency.

We’ll begin with a **paid trial of 50 accepted leads**. If the quality is strong, there is regular ongoing work available.

For ongoing work, you must be able to consistently complete **at least 50 accepted leads per week**.

### Artist criteria

Every artist must:

- Be based outside Australia
- Primarily come from English-speaking markets such as the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand or Ireland
- Have **10,000 Spotify monthly listeners or fewer**
- Have released qualifying music within the **last 6 months**
- Be an independent/emerging artist suitable for music marketing outreach
- Have a valid contact email
- Not already exist in our database
- Not be an AI-generated artist

Please use the artist’s **most recent qualifying release** wherever possible.

Instrumental-only artists/releases do not qualify.

### Each lead must include

- Artist name
- Artist country
- Contact email
- Link showing where the email was found
- Spotify artist link
- Spotify monthly listeners
- Recent song/release
- Release date
- Instagram or main social link
- Personalisation observation

A duplicate-checking tool will be provided. Every artist must be checked before being included in the final list.

### Personalisation

This is one of the most important parts of the role.

You must **genuinely listen to the selected song** and write a short observation about something specific you noticed or liked.

This could relate to:

- Vocals
- Melody
- Instrumentation
- Guitar or drum parts
- Production
- Arrangement
- Groove
- Hook
- Lyrics
- Dynamics

The personalisation does **not** need to be long. One accurate and specific observation is enough.

For example:

“Really liked how the guitars open up when the chorus comes in against the softer verse.”

Generic comments such as “Great song”, “Nice vocals” or “Love the vibe” will not be accepted.

Please also avoid automated technical audio-analysis comments involving BPM, EQ, frequencies, spectral analysis, etc.

If mentioning lyrics, please make sure the lyric genuinely belongs to that exact song. If you are unsure about a lyric, comment on another musical element instead.

I am primarily looking for **accuracy, genuine listening and reliability**. Perfect English or polished copywriting is not required.

### Trial and ongoing work

The initial project is for **50 accepted, non-duplicate leads**.

If the trial is successful, ongoing work is available in regular batches.

For ongoing work, you must be able to reliably complete **at least one 50-lead batch per week**. More work is available if you can consistently maintain quality at a higher volume.

### When applying

Please include **2–3 example personalisation comments based on real songs you have listened to**.

Please do not send generic examples. I want to see that you can listen to a song and identify a genuine, specific detail from it.
