I’m ready to launch a modern, sleek WordPress website that lets guests book a table with zero friction. The entire build should focus on online reservations as the core journey.
Key reservation flow
• Interactive date & time picker that blocks out unavailable slots in real-time
• Visual table selection so diners choose where they sit
• A “Special requests” field captured with each booking and stored in the back-end
Look & feel
Clean lines, bold imagery, subtle animations—think contemporary rather than rustic or classic. The site must be fully responsive and load quickly on mobile, as most bookings come through phones.
Pages & functionality
– Landing page with enticing hero section, short story of the restaurant, and a prominent “Reserve Now” CTA.
– Dedicated reservation page implementing the features above, preferably with a well-supported WordPress booking plugin (e.g., OpenTable widget, Bookly, or your recommended alternative).
– Simple menu and events sections are nice to have later, but the launch version can defer them; the reservation funnel must be flawless first.
– Contact/Map footer plus basic GDPR-friendly cookie notice.
Deliverables
1. Complete WordPress site installed on my hosting, SSL ready.
2. Custom-styled reservation form matching the brand palette.
3. Admin guide (PDF or short Loom video) showing how I can change availability, tables, and view special requests.
4. One round of revisions after initial hand-off to fine-tune UX.
Acceptance criteria
• A test reservation from homepage to confirmation email works end-to-end on desktop and mobile.
• Table layout, date & time picker, and special requests field all save correctly in WordPress.
• PageSpeed Insight mobile score ≥ 85.
If this brief matches your expertise, please share a link to at least one live restaurant or hospitality site you’ve built with similar booking functionality.
