Modern Minimalist Backyard Layout

I’m ready to turn a plain backyard into a clean, modern retreat that still leaves plenty of room for kids to run around. The look should stay true to a minimalist aesthetic—simple geometry, restrained color palette, and uncluttered lines—while feeling welcoming rather than stark.

Two functional priorities guide the design: a comfortable seating area for adults to relax and an open play space that remains safe and obstacle-free for children. I’m happy to hear any creative solutions that blend those needs, such as subtle level changes, low-maintenance groundcover, or clever integrated storage that keeps toys out of sight when not in use. A water feature or extensive planting scheme isn’t essential, though I’m open to subtle touches that won’t compromise the clean look.

Please deliver a scaled layout (PDF or DWG) and a set of rendered visuals that show the space from multiple angles so I can easily picture flow and proportions. A concise material palette with sourcing notes will help me price out construction. If we find the right direction, I may add a follow-up milestone for detailed construction drawings.
