Website Design & Development for Aftermath Roof & Restoration — Kansas City, MO

Project Overview

I am looking for an affordable, reliable web designer/developer to build a professional, mobile-friendly website for Aftermath Roof & Restoration, a roofing and restoration company serving the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Our primary markets are residential homeowners and multifamily property owners and managers. The website needs to establish credibility, generate inspection requests and phone calls, and communicate the importance of addressing roof damage promptly before it leads to more expensive problems.

I want a professional website that looks established and trustworthy without spending a fortune. I also need to be able to manage and update the website myself after launch.

Website: AftermathRoof.com

Important: I already own the domain and currently pay a monthly hosting fee. I need the freelancer to build the website and install it on my existing hosting account and domain. I am not looking to purchase a new domain or move to a new hosting provider unless there is a compelling technical reason.

Website Goals

Make it easy for people searching Google for “AftermathRoof,” “Aftermath Roof,” “Aftermath Roof & Restoration,” and variations including “Kansas City” to find our website.

Generate leads through phone calls and inspection request forms.

Present separate service information for residential roofing and multifamily/commercial property roofing.

Allow me to upload project photos and descriptions as jobs are completed.

Include an FAQ section that I can add to and edit myself.

Create a sense of urgency around addressing roof damage without misleading or overly aggressive sales tactics.

Establish a strong foundation for future local SEO and online marketing.

Required Pages

Home: Strong headline, clear calls to action, service overview, and links to the two primary markets.

Residential Roofing: Roof inspections, repairs, replacements, hail and wind damage, and applicable insurance-claim assistance.

Multifamily & Commercial Property Roofing: Roofing services for apartment communities, multifamily property owners, property managers, and ownership groups.

Projects / Our Work: An easy-to-manage photo gallery with project descriptions and categories.

About Us: Company introduction, values, and commitment to communication and workmanship.

FAQ: An editable section where I can add, remove, and update questions and answers.

Contact / Request an Inspection: Click-to-call phone number, email, and a working contact form.

The navigation can be simplified if you have a better user-friendly approach.

Design Direction

The brand uses a bold black, red, and white color scheme. I have an existing logo concept that will be provided.

The desired look is modern, clean, strong, professional, and easy to navigate. It should appeal to homeowners while conveying the reliability and professionalism expected by multifamily property managers.

The homepage should communicate a message along the lines of:

“Roof Damage Doesn't Wait. Neither Should You.”

The site should emphasize prompt action, professional assessments, clear communication, and preventing minor roof problems from becoming larger issues.

A professionally customized template is perfectly acceptable if it helps keep costs down. I do not need an expensive, fully custom-coded website.

Required Functionality

Responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Working contact and inspection request forms.

Clickable phone number on mobile devices.

Easy-to-use content management system.

Ability for me to upload, organize, and caption project photos.

Ability for me to edit FAQs and basic website content without technical assistance.

Basic security, spam protection, backups, and SSL/HTTPS compatibility.

Google Search Console setup or assistance connecting it.

XML sitemap and appropriate indexing configuration.

On-page SEO, including page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, and internal links.

Basic local SEO setup, including appropriate structured data and service-area information.

Optimized images and good loading speed.

Google Analytics integration if available at a reasonable cost.

WordPress is preferred, but I am open to another platform if it offers comparable flexibility, easy self-management, and low ongoing costs.

Existing Domain & Hosting Requirements

I already own AftermathRoof.com and pay for hosting.

The project should include:

Building the website and installing it on my existing hosting account.

Checking whether my current hosting plan supports the proposed platform before work begins.

Configuring the website to run properly on my domain.

Testing all pages, forms, phone links, mobile layouts, and basic SEO settings before launch.

Keeping my existing domain registration and hosting arrangement in place wherever technically feasible.

Please do not include new domain registration or a new hosting subscription in your quote. If my current hosting plan is unsuitable, explain the specific issue and proposed alternatives before recommending any change.

Ownership & Ongoing Costs

I want to retain control of my domain, hosting account, website administrator account, website content, and any paid licenses associated with the project.

Please identify any additional recurring fees, paid plugins, themes, subscriptions, or maintenance costs before work begins.

I must be able to update the site and add projects without paying a developer each time. Please do not make the website dependent on your personal account or a proprietary system that prevents me from managing it independently.

Deliverables

Completed website with all agreed pages.

Installation and configuration on my existing domain and hosting.

Mobile and desktop testing.

Working contact forms and phone links.

Basic technical and on-page SEO configuration.

Project gallery and editable FAQ functionality.

Administrative access and appropriate ownership transfer.

Brief instructions or a screen-recorded tutorial showing me how to update photos, projects, FAQs, and basic page content.

A short post-launch period for fixing bugs related to the agreed project scope.

Budget & Proposal Requirements

I am looking for a good-value solution and want to keep the initial investment reasonable.

Please include the following in your proposal:

Fixed-price quote: What is your total price to complete the website, including installation on my existing hosting?

Platform recommendation: What platform would you use, and why is it a good fit for this project?

Relevant examples: Links to websites you have built for roofing, construction, home services, or other local businesses.

SEO scope: What exactly is included in your initial SEO setup, and what results can you realistically support?

Ongoing costs: Any additional costs for plugins, themes, licenses, maintenance, or services beyond the hosting I already pay for.

Timeline: How long will the project take from the start date to launch?

Existing hosting: Can you install and configure the website directly on my existing hosting account and domain?

Self-management: Will I be able to add projects, upload photos, edit FAQs, and update basic content without hiring a developer?

Support and revisions: How many design revisions are included, and what post-launch support do you provide?

I am not looking for an expensive custom application or an ongoing developer dependency. I want a professional website that generates leads, can grow with the business, and is straightforward for a nontechnical owner to manage.

Please provide a clear, itemized proposal and identify anything that is not included in your price.

Thank you. I look forward to reviewing your proposals.
