I have already printed a “Dacian Wolf” sculpture and now need a matching base that evokes a Dacian fortress while staying clean and minimalist. The finished piece will be printed by me at a medium scale—somewhere between 20 cm and 40 cm—so the design must balance visual presence with practical printability.
What I’m after is a fortress-inspired platform that firmly supports the wolf without distracting from it. Subtle stone textures, gentle slopes or low-profile battlements are welcome so long as the overall silhouette remains simple. I’m open to your creative interpretation, provided the base looks unmistakably Dacian and complements the sculpture instead of overwhelming it.
Essential criteria
• Strong, stable footprint sized to my wolf (I’ll supply dimensions and photos).
• A clean attachment solution—slot, pins, recess, or another idea—that keeps the sculpture secure yet removable if possible.
• Geometry optimised for FDM or resin printing with minimal supports and clear orientation guidance.
Deliverables
1. Print-ready STL (plus the original source file in Blender, ZBrush, Fusion 360 or similar).
2. A one-page print guide noting recommended scale settings, supports, and any post-processing tips.
If this sounds like a project you’d enjoy, let me know what software you prefer, how you’ll approach the minimalist fortress look, and any questions you have about the sculpture’s dimensions.
