Minimalist 1960s Children's Bedtime Story Book Illustrations

I’m wrapping up a bedtime anthology of more than twenty-five original and retold stories and now need the pictures that will make fathers want to open the book night after night. For this first volume I need eight images in total—seven interior illustrations plus a wrap-around cover—rendered in a clean, early-1960s pencil-crayon style: confident line work, subtle grain, and restrained pops of colour that sit calmly on the page.

The audience is children aged 4 – 7, so each scene must stay clear and inviting when held at arm’s length under a bedside lamp. A small cast of recurring characters appears across the stories; once we start, I’ll share rough sketches and notes so you can keep their look consistent. Some spreads will show the story in pictures progressing to the conclusion, but every piece should feel soothing enough for a wind-down read.

• 1 cover in the same style, front-spine-back layout
• Visible pencil texture and limited mid-century palette throughout
• Up to two minor revision rounds per image
