WORK ARRANGEMENT AND PAY
Fully remote. Full-time, 40 hours per week.
US$700 per month during the first 60 calendar days (probationary period), then US$800 per month from day 61. These are fixed monthly salary amounts, not hourly rates, and are non-negotiable.
HIRING NOW — IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED
We are filling this role immediately. You must be available to begin upon selection; provide your exact earliest working date, notice period and any commitments that could delay your start.
TNI is a very small technology services company supporting network and infrastructure work across commercial, government and military environments. We need an experienced, hands-on Microsoft 365 professional to make our existing environment stable, organized and easier to operate—and to connect our project and ISO 9001 processes through reliable automation.
You will work directly with company leadership, our back-office coordinator and ISO manager. This is an ownership role: diagnose the real problem, recommend a practical solution, implement approved changes, verify the outcome and keep it working. We can teach you how TNI operates; you should already know how to administer and troubleshoot the technology.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Microsoft 365 / Entra ID: user and group lifecycle, licensing, least-privilege access, MFA and supported access policies.
• Intune and Windows endpoints: enrollment, configuration conflicts, device compliance, application deployment, updates, endpoint protection and troubleshooting.
• Exchange Online, Teams and OneDrive: mail flow, shared mailboxes and delegation, calendars, signatures, reliable synchronization and collaboration.
• SharePoint: site/library organization, permissions, metadata, versioning, controlled-document approvals, review dates and evidence retrieval.
• Power Automate / Power Platform: improve existing workflows and build only what is needed for project intake, assignments, deadlines, deliverable tracking, closeout and ISO follow-up.
• Configuration management: maintain approved configuration baselines, asset/configuration records, version history, documented dependencies and change control. Identify and correct configuration drift using supported Microsoft tools. Test changes, record verification and maintain usable rollback/recovery instructions.
• Coding and scripting: personally write, review, troubleshoot and maintain PowerShell scripts and appropriate Microsoft Graph/API integrations. Use version control, least-privilege access, protected secrets, error handling, safe repeat runs and clear tests. Keep code small and maintainable; use native Microsoft capabilities where they meet the need.
• Operations: useful alerts and logs, failed-run handling, recovery and restore tests, change records, clear procedures and support ownership.
WHAT GOOD WORK LOOKS LIKE
A configuration is complete when it works for the actual user—not just when it saves in an admin portal. A workflow must handle duplicate submissions, missing evidence, conflicting instructions, rejected approvals and connection failures. Approved documents and project acceptance must remain traceable. Another person should be able to operate and recover what you deliver using your documentation.
We prefer supported Microsoft capabilities and sensible use of existing licenses. Preserve working configurations, records, links and history; test changes and have a rollback plan. Do not create a second project/accounting system or unnecessary custom applications.
ISO 9001 is part of the operating context. You will support controlled documents, training/evidence tracking, corrective-action follow-up and audit readiness. Our ISO manager and designated owners retain audit and business-approval responsibilities. CMMC is not part of this role.
REQUIRED
• At least 5 years of hands-on systems / Microsoft 365 administration, including independent production responsibility for Intune, Entra, Exchange and SharePoint.
• Personally delivered and maintained Power Automate workflows, with demonstrable failure handling and ownership of connections, permissions and licensing.
• Demonstrated production configuration-management experience: approved baselines, change review, drift detection, version control, validation and rollback.
• Hands-on coding/scripting ability, especially PowerShell and Microsoft Graph/API automation. You must be able to explain and troubleshoot code you wrote; using only visual workflow templates does not meet this requirement.
• Ability to troubleshoot access, devices, mail and document workflows without step-by-step technical training.
• Fluent spoken and written English; clear explanations to nontechnical colleagues.
• Strong judgment, meticulous documentation and reliable follow-through.
• Availability for 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, within 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time (New York local time), with a one-hour break. Disclose any overlapping commitments.
• Reliable equipment/internet and a workable backup plan; immediate availability required.
Relevant Microsoft certifications, MSP experience and ISO document-control experience are helpful. Certifications alone do not replace practical experience.
INITIAL PRIORITIES
First 2–3 working days: understand existing trackers/configurations, validate the priority issues and propose an achievable plan. First two weeks: address agreed urgent stability/document-control gaps and demonstrate one tested workflow. Then deliver remaining improvements in prioritized stages with monitoring, documentation and handover. These are planning targets to validate after discovery, not a demand to fix an entire tenant immediately.
Our internal ISO audit is November 2, 2026; external Stage 1 is November 13 and Stage 2 is November 23. Audit-critical work will take priority.
HOW TO APPLY
Start your response with “TNI M365 OPERATIONS” and provide:
1. Your CV/profile and years personally administering M365 and Intune.
2. One production administration problem you diagnosed and fixed: your actions, risks, verification and rollback.
3. One Power Automate / SharePoint workflow you personally built: its purpose, permissions, handling of duplicates/failures and ongoing support.
4. One configuration change and one script/API automation you personally owned: explain version control, safe repeat runs, error handling, testing and rollback. No confidential code or credentials are needed.
5. A short answer: a closeout file says “Complete,” but test evidence and customer acceptance are missing. A manager asks you to mark it approved so billing can proceed. What do you do, and what can be automated safely?
6. Earliest start date, availability in Eastern Time, current commitments and any scope above that would require specialist help.
Examples of your work are welcome; do not share client confidential information or credentials. Shortlisted candidates will have a 20-minute qualification call, followed separately by a 45-minute simulated practical. No live client work or tenant access is required for the assessment. Apply through Freelancer messaging.
