Michigan PE Foundation Design

I’m moving forward with the foundations for a series of industrial pre-engineered steel buildings—each between 5,000 sq ft and 20,000 sq ft—here in Michigan. I already have the manufacturer’s engineered framing package as well as the steel post/embed details; what I still need is a Michigan-licensed structural PE who can take those documents, design the concrete footings and full foundation system to comply with the Michigan Building Code, and then issue signed and sealed permit drawings accompanied by structural calculations.

Because I have no geotechnical report on the site, I’ll also need guidance (and preferably assistance) in securing one so the foundation design is based on verified soil parameters. If you’re able to coordinate with a local geotech firm or tell me exactly what data you require, please spell that out in your proposal.

• Coordination notes or recommendations tied to the forthcoming geotechnical report
