We need a mathematics specialist to judge 31 short written rules of middle-school algebra: equation-solving steps, where a solution breaks, and step-by-step chains. Each rule has a statement, its conditions and a short proof. You give each one a grade from 1 to 4 and one or two lines of reason. About 3 hours.
Grades:
1 = sound as written · 2 = sound, wording only · 3 = a condition or a step must change · 4 = not usable.
Screening question — answer it in your bid. Bids without answers will not be read:
A) "Operation: add the same expression c to both sides. Condition: c is defined for every value in the domain. Effect on the solution set: preserved exactly."
B) "Operation: square both sides. Statement: a = b ⟹ a² = b². Condition: none. Effect on the solution set: preserved exactly."
For each: a grade and one line of reason.
Requirements:
A degree in mathematics or mathematics education.
Practice in proof or in teaching algebra.
Rules: work alone. Do not enter the material into any AI tool, and do not use AI to form or word your judgements. If you use any software, name it and say where you used it.
This is not a design job. Design offers will be reported.
