Mandarin-English Textile Factory Interpreter

I’m arranging a series of on-site factory visits with our Chinese textile suppliers and need a professional who can move effortlessly between Mandarin and English on the production floor. Your main responsibility will be to stand at my side during each tour, listen to the supplier’s technical explanations of fabrics, weaving processes, dye lots, and finishing treatments, and relay that information to me in clear, industry-accurate English. When I have questions about yarn counts, MOQ, lead-times, or compliance standards, you’ll put them back into precise Mandarin so nothing is lost in translation.

The focus of each visit is product explanation—no formal presentations, just real-time dialogue while we inspect machinery, examine swatches, and review spec sheets. Experience in the textile or garment sector is therefore essential; I need someone who already knows terms like GSM, warp density, and reactive dye instead of pausing to look them up.

Factory environments can be loud, so confident consecutive interpreting, a strong voice, and the ability to follow safety protocols are important. The schedule spans two full days in Shaoxing next month, with the possibility of additional trips to other mills later this quarter.
