The job

We're a traffic control company in Sydney. We have a logo we're mostly happy with and we need it redrawn properly as vector, with two things fixed:

The S in the SMG crest doesn't match the M and G. It's angular and heavier, so the three letters look like three different fonts. We want a smooth geometric S with even stroke weight and flat terminals, matched to the M and G.
The join where the scorpion tail meets the G is abrupt. We want the G rounder and the tail flowing into it as one continuous shape.

Everything else stays as it is, especially the chevron splits in the tail and the overall horizontal proportions. The current file was AI generated so the curves are rough in places, tidy up anything else that needs it.

What we need delivered

The refined logo as true vector: .AI or .EPS, plus .SVG and .PDF
Four lockups: crest on its own, crest with the name stacked under it, crest with the name beside it (as it is now), and the same with a divider rule
Each lockup in full colour, all black and all white, on transparent backgrounds
PNG exports at a few sizes
A short brand board laid out as per the reference in our brief (logo variations, colours, typography, and mockups on uniforms, a ute and site signage)

Notes

Must stay readable at 25mm wide and survive being flattened to one colour for embroidery and stamps. Our brand red is
#EC012C and navy is
#142446.

Full brief with annotated images and the logo file is attached. Please quote on price and turnaround, and send examples of logo refinement work you've done, not just logos from scratch.
