I’m looking to have a full-featured live-streaming website built where I can host Vedio streaming sessions and let viewers interact with me through a real-time chat box. The primary goal is to give my audience a smooth, buffer-free experience on desktop and mobile while keeping the back-end robust enough to scale as viewership grows.
Core requirements
• Stream ingestion should accept common encoders (OBS, Streamlabs) and deliver HLS/DASH playback.
• A responsive video player with adaptive bitrate so every connection stays smooth.
• Real-time chat functionality tied to each live session, powered by WebSockets or a similar low-latency solution.
• User authentication (social logins are fine) so I can identify chat participants.
• Admin tools to start/stop streams, schedule upcoming sessions, view analytics, and moderate or disable chat when needed.
• Clean, modern UI that matches current streaming standards.
Tech flexibility
I’m comfortable with popular stacks such as Node.js + React, Laravel + Vue, or Django, and I’m open to cloud services like AWS MediaLive, Wowza, or an Nginx-RTMP setup if you can justify the choice for stability and cost. Please explain your approach.
Deliverables
1. Fully functional website deployed to my domain.
2. Source code in a private Git repo with setup docs.
3. One-hour hand-off session walking me through stream setup, chat controls, and scaling options.
If you’ve built a live video platform before, share a link or short demo in your proposal so I can see it in action.
