I’m looking for a developer who can turn the concept of a lightweight, real-time WordPress security plugin into a clean, production-ready deliverable. The core job is to capture every login event—successful and failed—together with IP address, username, timestamp, and basic browser details, then respond intelligently when things look suspicious.

Real-time monitoring is essential. As soon as a single IP crosses a configurable threshold of failed attempts, the plugin should place that IP on a temporary block list. The rule is simple: only the number of failed login attempts matters; no frequency calculations are required beyond that. I still need genuine users to reach the site, so the block must expire automatically after a set window and the logic must handle proxy or shared IP scenarios gracefully.

Inside the WordPress admin, I want a single dashboard page that combines:
• Login attempt statistics for quick at-a-glance status
• Detailed logs of each attempt so I can drill down when needed
• Clear summary reports that highlight trends over selectable time ranges

The plugin must remain lightweight. Please design the logging layer so it never becomes a bottleneck—efficient database writes, automatic pruning of old records, and minimal overhead on every page load. Follow WordPress coding standards, namespace everything to avoid conflicts, and keep dependencies to an absolute minimum.

Deliverables:
1. Installable .zip of the plugin with well-commented PHP, JavaScript (if used), and CSS.
2. A short README explaining setup, configuration options, and how the temporary IP block works.
3. Unit or integration tests (even a small suite) demonstrating that logging, blocking, and dashboard rendering all work as described.

I’ll test by simulating brute-force activity and navigating the dashboard to confirm the statistics, detailed logs, and summary reports are accurate and that legitimate users aren’t accidentally locked out. If this sounds straightforward to you and you have a track record of clean WordPress plugin work, let’s get started.
