I am running large-eddy simulations of super-critical CO₂ in a vertical pipe under high-pressure, pulsating inlet conditions. The goal is to reproduce and validate the velocity profiles, temperature gradients and Nusselt number plots reported in a recent journal paper; once validated, the data will feed into a broader heat-transfer study I am conducting.
The case will be built and solved in ANSYS Fluent.
Deliverables
• Clean, documented Fluent case & data files for the final, grid-independent LES run.
• Grid-independency results.
• Post-processed plots and numeric tables that overlay my target paper’s velocity profiles and temperature gradients with your simulation results
• Brief methods note (mesh details, time-step strategy, SGS model choice, convergence criteria)
Acceptance criteria
The simulated centre-line velocities and wall temperature gradients must fall within the experimental uncertainty bands cited in the paper.
If you have prior experience with pulsating high-pressure CO₂ or similar compressible LES work, please highlight it. Looking forward to collaborating and getting this benchmark locked down.
