Australian AML/CTF Template Mark-Up — Legal Reviewers (Freelance, Per-Document Fee)
We're an Australian software company building document automation for the legal profession. With the Tranche 2 AML/CTF reforms now in force, we're updating our template library and need reviewers to help us get it right.
The work:
We send you a template as a Word document. You mark it up using tracked changes to show the amendments needed for compliance with the amended Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth), and add brief comments explaining the reasoning behind each change. We handle the automation from there.
What we're looking for:
• Australian commercial or transactional legal experience* and
• Working knowledge of the Tranche 2 reforms and the concept of "designated services" and
• Comfortable with tracked changes in Word
* Australian Lawyers, law graduates and paralegals with strong AML/CTF knowledge are all welcome to apply
Fee:
$50 per document marked-up.
Scope:
Some templates are long, but the amendments themselves are expected to be brief and targeted. If you take on multiple documents, you'll likely find the same changes repeat — so you can carry your earlier mark-up across rather than starting fresh each time.
Turnaround:
1–3 business days per document.
Volume:
We have a large library and are engaging several reviewers. Strong first reviews will lead to more work, including a second project involving the Privacy legislation updates due later in the year.
To apply:
Respond to this ad and include**:
- a short note on your AML/CTF document work (include types of documents) and
- details of your legal background and qualifications and
- details of your availability in August/September
** Applications that don’t address these details won’t be considered
Vetting:
Applicants will be required to:
- participate in a video call to discuss the project, their specific areas of expertise for document assignment and their capacity to take on multiple documents and
- list the types of documents they have recently reviewed and updated for the AML/CTF legislation changes
