About the position
As Lead Supply Chain Manager, you will take on a key role at our production site in Eppingen-Richen. GROPYUS develops and manufactures innovative timber-hybrid modules for serial and sustainable construction. To ensure our modules are produced and delivered on time, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, we rely on a high-performing and resilient supply chain.
In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for the continuous development and management of our supply chain processes across the entire value chain. Your primary objective is to ensure a stable supply chain within the context of modular construction, guaranteeing reliable material availability, efficient production operations, and on-time delivery of our projects.
You will lead a team of approximately 15 to 20 employees (5 direct reports), with further growth potential, covering administration, planning and scheduling, production planning, warehouse management, and operational logistics, including forklift operators and loading personnel. In doing so, you will create the conditions for seamless collaboration between production, procurement, logistics, and external partners.
You will be responsible for:
Strategic and operational responsibility for the supply chain at the production site
Ensuring a stable and efficient material flow from procurement through production to final delivery
Functional and disciplinary leadership of a team of currently 15 to 20 employees across supply chain, warehouse, and operational logistics functions
Continuous improvement of planning, scheduling, and logistics processes to increase transparency, efficiency, and delivery performance
Close collaboration with procurement, production, and other stakeholders to optimize the value chain
Analysis of market, sourcing, and supplier developments and implementation of appropriate measures
Identification and execution of optimization opportunities related to costs, inventory, and processes
Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements within the supply chain
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners
Developing KPIs and management mechanisms to drive sustainable performance improvements
About you
Minimum qualifications
Several years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or production planning within an industrial environment
Proven experience in leading and developing teams
Strong organizational skills and extensive project management experience
Analytical, strategic, and business-oriented mindset
Strong technical understanding of production and material flow processes
Confident presence with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Fluent German and English language skills
Preferred qualifications
Experience in manufacturing or other production-driven environments
Knowledge of modular construction methods, timber construction, or the construction industry
Experience in transforming and scaling supply chain processes
Knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain planning tools
