I already have a fully responsive website that handles log-in, forms, payments, and every core feature on an iPhone. What I need now is an iOS wrapper that presents the site through WKWebView, adds native niceties, and is ready for App Store release—without rebuilding anything from scratch.
Core requirements
• Wrap the existing site in a Swift-based WKWebView project built in Xcode.
• Preserve my current authentication flow; users should sign in exactly as they do on the website.
• Enable push notifications (APNs or Firebase are both acceptable; just keep implementation lightweight and reliable).
• Ensure camera / photo-upload interactions inside the WebView work the same way they do in Safari.
• Handle common edge cases gracefully—no-connection screen, “pull to refresh,” deep-link support, and any file-upload permissions prompts.
• Prepare everything needed for App Store submission: bundle identifier, icons, screenshots, basic privacy text, and a short guide so I can repeat future submissions myself.
Acceptance criteria
1. The TestFlight build loads the live site, maintains sessions, and supports payments without errors.
2. Push notifications arrive while the app is in foreground, background, or terminated, and open the correct page when tapped.
3. Tapping “upload” inside any form launches the native camera or photo library, and the chosen image posts back to the site.
4. Apple’s App Store Connect validation passes with no policy violations.
If you have recent experience shipping similar WebView wrappers and navigating Apple’s review hurdles, I’d love to see an example build or a quick walkthrough of your process.
