I’m commissioning a thoroughly researched piece that digs into a pressing social issue. While I haven’t fixed on the exact topic yet, the overarching theme is social justice, and I will choose the final angle together with you once we discuss data availability and potential sources. What matters most is that the finished article reads like a critical, investigative report: facts verified, claims sourced, and systemic patterns exposed rather than merely described.
You’ll be expected to:
• Propose two or three viable story angles, outlining why each merits investigation and what primary sources you can reach.
• Conduct original reporting—interviews, document reviews, public-records searches—and clearly cite everything : We will provide you primary data .
• Deliver a polished manuscript of roughly 1000 -1200 words, written in a clear journalistic style, free of bias except where evidence demands critique.
• Include a short methodology note explaining how the information was gathered and vetted.
Acceptance criteria: every quotation must be attributed, statistics must link to original data sets, and the narrative must build a logical case that supports its conclusions. If you’re comfortable handling sensitive topics and can maintain an objective, evidence-driven voice while still holding institutions accountable, let’s collaborate.
