I'm looking for an experienced Three.js / WebGL developer to build an interactive, high-quality 3D experience for a modern web application.
The project involves creating a responsive 3D environment that runs smoothly in the browser and provides an engaging user experience across desktop and mobile devices.
What You'll Build
Develop an interactive 3D scene using Three.js
Create and integrate 3D models, materials, lighting, cameras, and animations
Implement smooth user interactions and camera controls
Optimize rendering performance and memory usage
Ensure the experience works well across modern browsers and different screen sizes
Integrate the 3D experience with an existing or new JavaScript/React application
Implement animations, transitions, and interactive effects
Handle loading and optimization of 3D assets
Create clean, maintainable, and production-ready code
Technical Requirements
Strong experience with:
Three.js
WebGL
JavaScript / TypeScript
React or React Three Fiber
3D model formats such as GLTF / GLB
3D animation and scene management
Lighting, materials, textures, cameras, and shaders
Performance optimization for browser-based 3D applications
Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Git and modern development workflows
Experience with React Three Fiber, Drei, GSAP, custom GLSL shaders, physics, post-processing, or WebGPU is a strong plus.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who has real production experience with Three.js, not someone who has only completed basic tutorials or simple demo projects.
You should be comfortable taking a visual/functional requirement and turning it into a polished, interactive 3D experience.
Please provide:
Examples of your previous Three.js/WebGL projects
Links to live demos or GitHub repositories, if available
A short explanation of your role in each project
Your estimated timeline
Your hourly rate or fixed-price estimate
Any recommendations you have for the technical approach
We value code quality, visual quality, performance, communication, and reliability.
If you have built impressive browser-based 3D experiences with Three.js, we'd love to see your work.
