Interactive Brokers API Integration

I already have the trading logic; what’s missing is a solid bridge to Interactive Brokers. Your task is to wire my algorithm to the IB API so that it can:

• pull real-time market data without lag,
• place/modify/cancel orders instantly, and
• query my account and portfolio in the same session.

Use the official Interactive Brokers interface—ibapi or a high-level wrapper such as ib_insync is fine as long as the final code is clean, well-documented, and runs on Windows 11 with Python 3.11.

I will hand you the existing strategy code and paper-trading credentials. Return a self-contained module, a short usage demo, and a README that explains configuration, key functions, and any edge-case handling. I’ll consider the job complete once I can place a test order, see it update in Trader Workstation, and watch my positions and cash balance refresh in real time.
