Inter-System API Integration Setup

I need to connect two existing platforms with a clean, secure REST-style API so they can exchange live transaction data. The transactions in question are job information and statuses, and for each job I must be able to push and pull the Job ID, its description, and current status in real time.

Both systems already expose basic endpoints, but there is no orchestration layer. Your task is to create that layer: handle token-based authentication on both sides, map the fields one-to-one, manage retries and error logging, and return meaningful HTTP codes so the calling side always knows whether an update succeeded.

The Systems to be integrated are Aroflo and IBM Maximo (Both with API Interfaces avalialbe)

Deliverables
• Source code (preferably Python or Node.js) in a Git repo
• A short README that documents all endpoints, required headers, sample requests/responses, and any environment variables
• Postman (or similar) collection for quick testing
• A basic uptime/error dashboard or log output demonstrating success/failure handling

The work is complete when I can trigger a job change in System A and see the correct Job ID, description, and status reflected in System B (and vice-versa) within seconds, with no data loss and clear logs for each transaction.
