### Handover Requirements
Before starting development, please:
1. Run the project locally using a separate development database.
2. Review the current implementation and report which items above are complete, partially complete, or not started.
3. Do not change the production database without approval and a backup.
4. Do not commit passwords, API keys, or `.env.local` files to GitHub.
5. Create a separate GitHub branch and Pull Request for every change.
6. Share an estimated timeline and cost after the code review.
### Important Notes
- The listed technologies are Next.js, React, TypeScript, MySQL, Prisma, and Tailwind CSS.
- The current README describes the intended system. Some listed features may require testing, correction, or completion.
- Production deployment and database credentials will be shared only after the developer is confirmed.
Further Work Requested
The following work is required after the developer reviews the current system.
1. Barcode System — High Priority
Add a unique barcode for every product.
Allow barcode scanning during sales creation.
Automatically find and add the scanned product to the sales invoice.
Show product name, available stock, price, GST, and quantity after scanning.
Prevent duplicate barcodes.
Support barcode-label printing for products.
Ensure common USB barcode scanners work without special hardware changes.
2. Phone Application — High Priority
Create a mobile-friendly application for phone use.
The application should allow approved users to view products, stock, invoices, and reports.
Support sales creation from a phone, including barcode scanning if possible.
Use secure login and role-based access for Admin, Manager, and Cashier.
Developer must recommend the best approach: Android app, iPhone app, or one mobile web application that works on both.
