Strategic Technology Buyer Identification and Acquisition Outreach Specialist Required

Project Type: Fixed-price research and business development
Location: Remote – Worldwide
Budget: Competitive quotations requested
Project Stage: Early-stage proprietary AI software technology

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced technology-commercialisation professional, strategic acquisition researcher or corporate business-development specialist to identify prospective purchasers, commercial partners and potential investors for an early-stage Australian AI software project.

The proposed technology is a local-first AI-assisted research and evidence-verification system designed to improve factual traceability, research auditability and the reliability of technical conclusions.

The system is intended to address problems associated with unsupported AI-generated claims, unreliable citations, incomplete technical research, overlooked existing solutions and inadequate evidence verification.

An established technical specification and experimental codebase exist. A smaller working proof of concept is being planned to demonstrate the principal capabilities before full-scale development.

The complete system has not yet passed independent acceptance testing.

Our preferred commercial objective is an outright sale of the underlying intellectual property and associated technology. However, technology licensing, funded technical evaluations, strategic development partnerships and other suitable commercial arrangements may also be considered.

Scope of Work

The selected specialist will be responsible for researching the commercial landscape and identifying organisations with a credible strategic interest in the proposed technology.

The initial assignment will include the following activities.

1. Identify Potential Purchasers

Research technology companies that may benefit from acquiring evidence-verification, AI assurance, research-governance or technical decision-support capabilities.

Potential sectors include enterprise AI software, scientific research platforms, engineering software, research data management, intellectual-property research and related technology markets.

2. Investigate the Competitive Landscape

Identify existing commercial products, technologies and competing approaches that address similar problems.

Determine where the proposed technology might offer a commercially meaningful difference, without assuming that such an advantage has already been established.

3. Identify Relevant Decision-Makers

Research appropriate individuals within prospective organisations, including corporate development executives, technology acquisition specialists, chief technology officers, product executives and strategic partnership managers.

4. Investigate Relevant Acquisition Activity

Identify documented examples of software acquisitions, technology licensing arrangements, strategic partnerships and investments involving comparable technology or capabilities.

5. Assess Strategic Buyer Suitability

Evaluate each potential purchaser according to its existing products, strategic objectives, relevant acquisition history and potential need for the proposed capabilities.

Distinguish verified commercial information from speculation.

6. Develop a Targeted Outreach Strategy

Prepare a professional approach for contacting suitable organisations without publicly disclosing confidential technical details.

7. Facilitate Introductions

Where separately authorised, contact prospective purchasers and seek genuine discussions about technical evaluation, acquisition opportunities, licensing or commercial partnerships.

Initial Deliverables

The initial engagement must produce a researched shortlist of approximately 15 to 25 potentially relevant organisations.

For each organisation, provide its name, business activities, relevant products, reason for strategic suitability, publicly verifiable supporting information and appropriate business contact details where available.

The report must distinguish confirmed information from assumptions and identify any evidence of relevant acquisitions, partnerships or investment activity.

Prospects should be prioritised according to demonstrated strategic relevance rather than company size or speculative acquisition capacity.

The final report must include recommended outreach messages, proposed next actions and a practical strategy for establishing genuine commercial interest.

A separate engagement may be offered for direct outreach, qualified introductions and subsequent commercial discussions.

Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

The project involves confidential research and proprietary software concepts.

The initial assignment will not include access to the complete source code, proprietary algorithms, protected acceptance tests or detailed technical architecture.

All outward-facing project descriptions and communications must be approved before publication or transmission.

The selected contractor may be required to enter into a confidentiality agreement before receiving additional non-public information.

Applicant Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate relevant experience in technology commercialisation, software acquisitions, strategic partnerships, corporate development, technology licensing or specialised business-to-business buyer identification.

Preference will be given to individuals who can provide verifiable examples of previous assignments involving technology companies and genuine introductions to acquisition or investment decision-makers.

Please address the following questions.

1. What experience do you have identifying strategic purchasers or commercial partners for early-stage software technology?

2. Have you previously worked on technology acquisitions, licensing arrangements or intellectual-property commercialisation projects? Please provide examples.

3. How would you identify companies with a genuine commercial requirement for this technology?

4. What methods would you use to verify buyer suitability rather than simply generating a list of company names?

5. Can you identify and approach actual corporate decision-makers, rather than relying exclusively on general company email addresses?

6. What fixed price would you propose for the initial research and buyer-identification stage?

7. What separate pricing or commercial arrangement would you propose for direct introductions and qualified acquisition discussions?

Selection Criteria

We are looking for an experienced commercial researcher or business-development professional capable of identifying genuine opportunities and establishing credible connections with relevant organisations.

The objective is to obtain reliable market intelligence and meaningful commercial introductions, not speculative valuations, automated contact lists or mass-marketing campaigns.

Applicants should provide a clear methodology, realistic deliverables, relevant experience and competitive fixed-price proposals.

Please begin your proposal with the words Strategic Technology Buyer Research so we can distinguish relevant applications from generic submissions.
