I’m producing a Kashmir-focused documentary and need fresh, on-location footage from Srinagar that evokes a historical, reflective mood. The film will interweave past and present, so every shot should feel authentic and steeped in the city’s layered heritage.

Scope of filming
• Scenic day-to-day life: morning bazaars opening, artisans at work, children on their way to school, twilight by the Jhelum.
• Historical and cultural landmarks: old city gateways, centuries-old mosques, and any intact Mughal-era structures that still whisper their stories through stone and wood.
• Old architecture highlights: narrow lanes lined with traditional homes, intricate lattice windows, carved balconies, time-worn brickwork.
• Dal Lake heritage quarters: wooden houseboats that pre-date modern tourism, boat-builders’ workshops, the quieter back-channels where life unfolds away from the usual postcard spots.

Visual tone
Everything should feel contemplative rather than hurried—slow, deliberate camera moves, attention to texture, and soundscapes that capture the calm bustle of Srinagar’s past living in its present.

Deliverables
1. Raw, professionally shot footage for each location mentioned above (organised by folder and clearly labelled).
2. Ambient audio recorded on location (separate tracks preferred).
3. A simple shot log noting time, place, and a brief description for easy reference.

If you already have access permissions or local contacts that can ease filming in the Old City or on privately owned houseboats, let me know up front; that insight will be invaluable. I’ll review low-res samples first to confirm tone before you hand over the final files.

Let’s capture Srinagar’s soul together.
