Long-Term 3D Modelling Opportunity – Racing Vehicles
I am looking for a talented and reliable 3D artist to create a large collection of 3D-printable racing vehicles for a tabletop board game.
This is intended to be a long-term project, potentially involving well over 100 different vehicle models.
Please submit your bid as a price per individual STL car file. We will use your quoted price per STL model to calculate the cost of future work.
1. Vehicle Style and Quality
We are looking for low-to-medium quality 3D models suitable for small-scale tabletop board game pieces.
The vehicles must look like genuine dirt racing cars, not ordinary street cars.
Important: Please carefully examine the reference images below before submitting your bid. These show the type of racing vehicles and appearance we are looking for.

We are not looking for highly detailed, expensive full-scale-quality models. The aim is to produce recognisable, historically accurate racing vehicles that look good when resin printed at a small scale.
2. Scale and Printing Requirements
Approximately 1:76–1:72 scale (slightly larger than HO scale for better print detail).
Suitable for resin 3D printing.
Durable enough for regular tabletop gameplay.
Consistent scale across all vehicle classes.
Clean, watertight STL files.
Models must be ready for resin printing.
3. Vehicle Classes
The collection will include vehicles from the following classes:
Wing Sprint Cars
Non-Wing Sprint Cars
Dirt Modifieds
Super Modifieds
Dirt Late Models
Midgets
Modified Sedans (Australia)
Street Stocks
Stock Cars
Production Sedans
4 Cylinder Sedans
Formula 500s
Speedcars
Legend Cars
Junior Sedans
Other significant local dirt racing classes where appropriate.
4. Countries Covered
The collection will cover major dirt racing classes from:
Australia
New Zealand
United States
United Kingdom
5. Historic Coverage
Where possible, we would like to capture approximately four iconic body styles from each decade:
1950s
1960s
1970s
1980s
1990s
2000s
2010s
2020s
The aim is to capture the evolution of each racing class over the decades, rather than reproduce individual race cars or specific drivers' liveries.
6. Design Requirements
Historically accurate vehicle proportions and body shapes.
Models must resemble actual dirt racing cars.
Low-to-medium polygon/detail level is acceptable.
Clean STL files ready for resin printing.
One-piece models preferred wherever possible.
Fine details must be strong enough to survive small-scale printing.
Rolling wheels are not required.
Consistent dimensions and scale across the collection.
Avoid unnecessary details that increase modelling time and cost.
7. Pricing and Bidding – Important
Please bid on your price per individual STL vehicle model.
We are looking for competitive pricing because this project will involve a large number of models.
When submitting your proposal, please include:
Your price for each individual STL car model.
Whether the quoted price includes revisions.
Estimated time to complete each model.
Whether you can provide a small sample model before starting the larger project.
Examples of previous vehicle modelling or 3D printing work.
Confirmation that we will receive the STL files with commercial usage rights for our board game.
We would prefer to establish an agreed price per STL file that can be used throughout the project.
8. Long-Term Opportunity
This is not a one-off modelling job.
We are developing a historic dirt racing collection for a tabletop board game, with plans for well over 100 vehicle models covering different classes, countries and decades.
We are looking for a 3D artist who is interested in building a long-term working relationship and producing models consistently at an agreed price per vehicle.
If you have experience creating small-scale vehicles, racing cars or models for resin 3D printing, we would love to hear from you.
Please submit your bid based on the cost of one individual STL car model.
