Job Overview:
As a Remote Healthcare Insurance Specialist, you will be responsible for the management and administration of health insurance policies, communicating with customers and health care providers to ensure that policies are understood and implemented correctly. Additionally, you are to provide guidance to customers by answering questions and addressing concerns about their policies.

Explain complex insurance information in a clear and understandable way
Assist clients with enrollment, changes, and other insurance-related tasks.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for clients.
Process and track insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
Resolve claim denials and appeals.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
Stay up-to-date on changes to health insurance laws, policies, and regulations
Maintain in-depth knowledge of various health insurance plans and their coverage.
Identify and address potential issues with coverage and benefits.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in a virtual environment.
Maintain a professional and organized workspace.
Utilize technology effectively to manage workload and communicate with clients and colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field.
• Completion of courses in insurance or health insurance.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure the secure handling of personal health information and compliance with privacy laws.

Experience with insurance portals and payer systems, such as Availity or other provider-specific platforms, for verifying eligibility, checking claim status, and processing insurance-related transactions efficiently.
