I want to turn my current Windows PC into a smooth, mod-ready machine for Grand Theft Auto IV, with the flexibility to repeat the process for other open-world titles later. The main thing I need is software work: correct installation of popular GTA4 mods, a clean mod-management structure, and game-specific tweaks that lift graphics quality while keeping loading times lean.
Here is what I have in mind:
• Set up and organise the required mod tools (ScriptHook, OpenIV, mod manager, etc.) so I can add or remove mods without breaking the game.
• Apply proven graphics‐enhancement packs or ENB presets and tune the in-game settings until visuals look their best without sacrificing too many frames.
• Optimise launch parameters and any cache, texture, or memory settings that reduce initial load screens.
Because I will eventually repeat this workflow for other big open-world releases, please document each step clearly—what was installed, the order, any config files you edited, and fallback measures if a mod conflicts.
Acceptance criteria:
1. GTA4 launches modded, stable, and at a visibly improved graphics preset.
2. Average loading time from launcher to gameplay is shorter than my current baseline (I’ll provide numbers).
3. A brief, easy-to-follow guide or recorded walkthrough lets me replicate the same setup on future games.
If you have a straightforward approach that meets these three points, I’m eager to get started.
