Our Edge brand extends this expertise to other companies, providing underwriting, fraud detection, and analytics services. Headquartered in Chicago with a distributed global workforce, we are a lean, growing organization committed to advancing consumer finance in the US.
Job Summary
CreditNinja is seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager to own and scale its line of credit (LOC) business. The LOC is a revolving credit product: customers draw on a credit limit, repay, and draw again. The General Manager will sharpen its economics, grow its customer base, and turn an early-stage product into a durable, profitable business line. Reporting to the President of CreditNinja Lending, the General Manager will hold full P&L responsibility. This covers strategy, product, growth, credit, capital, operations, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who has taken a revolving credit or consumer lending business from early traction to meaningful scale. This is a fully remote, U.S.-based position.
Key Responsibilities:
P&L Ownership: Own the full P&L for the LOC business line. Drive revenue and profitability targets while managing risk-adjusted returns, and take the business from early traction to meaningful scale
Strategy & Scale: Refine and execute the strategy to grow the LOC into a durable, differentiated product. Define how the LOC works alongside our installment loans so that together they serve more customers
Economics & Line Management: Sharpen unit economics across the account life cycle: opening credit limits, line increases, draws, utilization, pricing, and repayment. Build strong, repeatable returns at scale
Growth & Customer Acquisition: Work with Marketing to grow new accounts across direct, partner, and mobile app channels. Increase repeat use and lifetime customer value, and own the growth plan for the business
Product & Technology: Work with product and engineering to improve the digital customer experience, from application to draws, payments, and account management. Drive acquisition, engagement, and retention
Credit & Risk: Work with Credit, Risk, and Analytics to optimize underwriting, credit line strategy, pricing, and portfolio monitoring. Balance growth with sound credit outcomes
Capital & Funding: Build and scale the funding strategy in coordination with Finance and Capital Markets. Support growth in balances and optimize the cost of capital
Team Building: Build out and develop a high-performing, cross-functional team as the business scales, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and speed
Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate across Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Technology to align the LOC business with broader company objectives
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of progressive experience in consumer lending, fintech, or financial services, including senior leadership roles with direct P&L ownership
Demonstrated success scaling an early-stage business line or product into a profitable operation, ideally in lines of credit, credit cards, or other revolving credit
Strong command of revolving credit economics: credit line assignment and management, utilization, pricing, credit and portfolio performance, and the drivers of a profitable lending P&L
Proven ability to grow a digital consumer credit product through marketing channels, partnerships, and customer engagement
Working knowledge of the regulatory environment for consumer lending, including open-end credit (TILA and Regulation Z, ECOA, FCRA, UDAAP, and related state and federal requirements)
Experience serving subprime or near-prime consumers preferred
Entrepreneurial, hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with change and ambiguity
Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
Ability and drive to take ownership of the business and its outcomes
Benefits & Perks:
Flexible Paid Time Off
Health Benefits with generous medical, dental and vision insurance plans
401(k) with matching contribution
Paid Family Leave
Annual Wellness & WFH Subsidies
Employee Referral Program
Remote first culture with convenient downtown office in the heart of the city
