I’m launching a new e-commerce platform and need a full-stack engineer who feels at home in React, Node.js, Python and modern database design. The core of the project is a responsive storefront backed by clean APIs and a solid data layer.
Primary focus
The site’s single most important capability is a frictionless shopping cart and checkout flow. From real-time stock validation to payment-gateway hand-off, every step must be fast, secure and fully tested.
Internationalisation
The interface has to be multilingual from day one. I’ll supply the initial English copy along with a second language; the code should load translations dynamically so additional languages can be added without touching the logic.
Tech expectations
• React front-end with component-level tests
• Node.js or Python services (micro or monolith—open to your recommendation) wrapped in REST or GraphQL endpoints
• A well-structured relational or NoSQL database, migrations included
• CI/CD pipeline, Docker workflow or similar for repeatable deployments
Deliverables
1. Responsive React storefront with language switcher
2. Secure cart & checkout integrated with Stripe or PayPal sandbox
3. Documented API layer and database schema
4. Test suite and deployment instructions
Acceptance criteria
All tests must pass; checkout completes end-to-end in test mode; Lighthouse performance score ≥ 90; language toggle works site-wide.
If this sounds like your comfort zone, let’s talk timelines and milestones.
