Full-Stack Developer Needed to Revamp Employment Website – AI, Stripe & Video Integration

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Web Developer to revamp and modernize an existing employment/recruiting platform, EmployerInterview.com.

IMPORTANT: This is an existing website with functioning features and an existing database. We are not looking to rebuild the entire platform from scratch. The selected developer will first review the existing website, source code, database, and functionality, preserve what is working, modernize outdated areas, and develop several new features.

About the Platform

EmployerInterview.com is an employment platform designed for:

Job seekers
Employers
Staffing/recruiting agencies

Job seekers can create professional profiles containing their resume, professional photo, employment information, and video employment presentations.

Employers can create accounts, post multiple job openings, create interview questions, receive candidate profiles, review video presentations, and share applicants with members of their hiring team.

The website also has an existing online career/job fair feature that allows employers and job seekers to interact online, including video communication.

Major Project Requirements
1. Review & Modernize Existing Website

The developer must first audit the existing website and determine:

What currently works and should be preserved
What needs to be updated
What should be rebuilt
Database/code issues
Security improvements
Mobile/responsive improvements

We do not want working functionality unnecessarily removed or rewritten.

2. Stripe Payment Integration

The website previously used PayPal.

We want to replace the existing payment system with Stripe while maintaining the website's current pricing/payment structure.

The developer should have experience implementing Stripe payments securely.

3. AI-Generated Interview Questions

We want to integrate AI into the platform.

Job seekers will enter their profession and desired job title(s), and AI should generate up to approximately 7 relevant interview questions based upon the position they are pursuing.

Employers should also be able to create a job posting and either:

Enter their own interview questions; or
Have AI generate appropriate interview questions based on the job title, description, skills, qualifications, etc.

Users should be able to review/edit generated questions where appropriate.

4. Video Employment Presentations

The platform currently incorporates video presentations and needs this functionality modernized.

We use three primary presentation formats:

General Interview:
Job seekers answer standard interview questions maintained by our staff.

Custom Interview:
AI generates questions based upon the applicant's profession/job title.

Freestyle Skills Presentation:
Applicants can demonstrate a professional skill or ability, such as Excel, AI, programming, graphic design, sales, administrative abilities, etc.

Videos should generally be limited to approximately 3 minutes.

5. Employer Accounts & Job Listings

Employers should be able to:

Create company accounts
Create multiple job listings
Manage open positions
Upload company information/video
Create interview questions
Use AI-generated interview questions
Receive candidate applications
Review resumes and videos
Share applicants with hiring team members
Allow multiple authorized reviewers/users
6. Unique Job Codes & Links

Each job posting should receive a unique job code and direct link.

Employers can advertise the job elsewhere and direct candidates to EmployerInterview.com using the unique code or direct URL.

Candidates entering the job code should be taken directly to the appropriate job opportunity.

This functionality already exists in some form and should be preserved/improved.

7. Employer-Branded Career Portals

We want to develop employer-specific/branded career pages.

An employer should eventually be able to link its own website's "Careers" page to an EmployerInterview.com-powered portal displaying:

Employer branding/logo
Company information
Available jobs
Company video
Application options

The developer should recommend the best approach, such as subdirectories, subdomains, or another architecture.

8. Online Career/Job Fairs

The website currently has an online career fair feature.

Employers and job seekers can participate in an online environment, review available positions, communicate, and interact through video.

The developer should evaluate the existing functionality and modernize it rather than automatically replacing it.

9. Administrative Dashboard

We need an easy-to-use administrative backend where our staff can manage:

Job seekers
Employers
Staffing agencies
Job postings
Interview questions
AI settings/prompts
Videos
Payments/pricing
Career fairs
Job codes
Employer portals
Emails/notifications
General site content
Required/Preferred Experience

This project requires someone comfortable working with an existing codebase.

We are not interested in a developer who automatically proposes rebuilding the entire website without first examining what already exists.

Our preferred approach is:

Preserve what works → Modernize what is outdated → Repair what is broken → Add new AI/features.
