Financial Transaction Data Entry

I have several Excel spreadsheets filled with past financial transactions. I need every line item transferred accurately into a consolidated file while also producing a clear summary for quick reference. You will be working directly from the spreadsheets—no need to hunt through paper folders or accounting software—so strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for detail are essential.

The task breaks down into two concrete deliverables:
• A cleaned, well-formatted master sheet that lists each transaction in full detail (date, description, amount, category, reference #).
• A separate summary tab that rolls those transactions up by month and category so I can see the big picture at a glance.

Accuracy is paramount; totals in the summary must tie out 100% to the line-by-line data. If you have proven methods for cross-checking balances or spotting duplicate entries, let me know—those will be a big plus.
