Financial Power BI Report Design

I need a clean, visually engaging Power BI report focused on financial reporting. The model will draw its data exclusively from a set of structured Excel workbooks that I will provide; each file contains revenue, expense, P&L and cash-flow tabs that refresh monthly.

My goal is to see all three perspectives—revenue vs expense, profit & loss, and cash-flow—through interactive dashboards that let management drill from a high-level summary down to individual account lines and months. A consistent color palette, intuitive slicers and clear KPI cards are important so the board can grasp performance in seconds.

You will be free to suggest the most suitable visuals (e.g., waterfall charts for cash movements, clustered bars for revenue comparisons, matrix views for P&L) and to create calculated measures or DAX where needed. I will supply sample numbers for testing, and I’ll need a short hand-off video or annotated screenshots showing how to refresh the report when new Excel files arrive.

Deliverables
• One .pbix file with linked Excel connections, fully formatted visuals and DAX measures
• A brief refresh guide (text or video) so the finance team can update figures each month

If any future phase requires pulling the same report from SQL or a cloud source, I’d like your design to remain flexible enough to swap the data source without rebuilding everything, but that part is not required right now.
