I’m sitting on a complete draft of a 90-minute Christmas dramedy and I want it production-ready. The story hits some of the major beats, but I need additional development with the story, character arcs, the dialogue, pacing, and character arcs need a sharper, warmer polish so families can laugh, tear up, and leave with that classic holiday glow.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A full, scene-by-scene rewrite that keeps the heartfelt balance of comedy and drama while deepening emotional stakes.
• Streamlined structure: tighten slow moments, punch up comedic timing, and ensure every scene pushes the plot—or a character—forward.
• Fresh, authentic dialogue that sounds natural for modern audiences yet still timeless enough to re-air each holiday season.
• Family-friendly sensibility throughout: no edgy humor that bumps the rating, but plenty of clever wit adults will enjoy.
• Delivery in industry-standard screenplay format (Final Draft or equivalent, PDF export), with clean slug lines, action, and dialogue formatting ready for the table read.
Acceptance criteria
– Script length remains close to 80-90 pages.
– All character voices are distinct and remain consistent across scenes.
– No dangling subplots or unresolved story threads.
– No AI writing deliverables
– Final file passes basic production script checks (page breaks, scene numbers, continued dialogue, etc.).
I’ll provide the current draft, character bios, and notes on what absolutely must stay. You bring the craft—structure, tone, and that magical Christmas sparkle—to turn this into the family favorite it deserves to be.
