Fast Personal Video WordPress Blog

I need a clean, lightweight WordPress setup that feels tailor-made for a personal blog focused on sharing videos. The core of the site should be speed and responsiveness so visitors on mobile or desktop never wait for content to load. I’ll be publishing clips hosted on YouTube and Vimeo, so the theme and plugins you choose must handle easy, reliable embeds without bloating the page.

Here’s what I expect when the work is done:

• A fresh WordPress install on my hosting, configured with a modern, mobile-first theme.
• Performance tuning—caching, image and script optimisation—so Google PageSpeed scores stay in the green.
• Basic on-page SEO set up (titles, meta, sitemap) and Akismet or similar spam protection ready to go.
• Clear video-embed workflow: I should be able to paste a YouTube or Vimeo link and have it display perfectly.
• A brief, plain-English tutorial (screen-recording or PDF) walking me through adding a new post, embedding a video, and updating plugins.

Once I can follow that guide and publish my first video post smoothly, the project is complete.
