We’re looking for a 3D artist with proven experience working on Roblox Marketplace-ready avatar assets.
We’re open to different areas of specialization across the Roblox avatar ecosystem. You do not need to cover every category or handle the entire pipeline yourself.
What matters most is that you have previously made or contributed to Roblox assets intended to be Marketplace-ready, understand the technical expectations behind that work, and can clearly show what you personally handled.
RELEVANT ROBLOX EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE
Avatar Bundles
R15 bundles, custom avatar bodies, heads, Dynamic Heads, and related avatar components.
Clothing
Shirts, jackets, pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, shoes, layered clothing, and classic / 2D clothing.
Accessories
Hair, head, face, eyebrows, eyelashes, front, neck, shoulder, back, waist, left/right gear, and other rigid accessories.
Experience in any one of these areas can be relevant.
We’re ideally looking for someone who can show at least two examples within one or more of the areas above, so we can see that the workflow is something you’ve handled repeatedly rather than only once.
RELEVANT PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE
Depending on the project and your specialization, useful experience may include:
- Retopology and optimization
- UV preparation
- High-poly to low-poly baking
- Skinning / rigging
- Inner and outer cages
- Attachments
- Roblox Studio integration / validation
- Marketplace preparation
- Working within Roblox asset-specific technical limits and requirements
Depending on your strengths, the production pipeline may be divided between multiple artists rather than expecting one person to own everything end-to-end.
SOFTWARE
Blender is preferred, but we’re also open to artists working in Maya.
ROBLOX MARKETPLACE KNOWLEDGE
We’re specifically looking for someone familiar with creating assets intended for Roblox Marketplace publishing, rather than general Roblox-style modeling alone.
Having personally taken an asset through Roblox Studio validation or Marketplace publishing is a strong plus, but it is not mandatory if you can demonstrate meaningful production work on Marketplace-ready assets.
PORTFOLIO / PROOF OF WORK
Please share examples of your Roblox-specific work.
We’re especially interested in seeing some proof of how the assets were made, not only final renders.
Useful examples may include:
- Wireframes / topology
- High-poly and low-poly comparisons
- Cage setups
- Skinning or rigging
- Bake results
- Blender or Maya screenshots
- Roblox Studio testing
- Marketplace listings
- Work-in-progress or behind-the-scenes videos
WHEN APPLYING, PLEASE INCLUDE:
1. Which Roblox avatar asset categories have you worked on, and were those assets intended for the Roblox Marketplace? Please specify your experience with bundles, bodies, heads, clothing, or accessories.
2. Share at least two relevant Roblox asset examples and explain exactly what you personally handled on each. Include any available Marketplace links, wireframes, cages, rigging, bake results, or production screenshots.
3. For one of those examples, what technical requirements did you need to meet, and how did you check that the asset met them? If someone else handled Roblox Studio validation or publishing, please clarify your role.
4. Which software do you primarily use, and which production stages can you confidently handle independently? Please also identify any stages you would need another artist to handle.
The final scope, pricing, and payment structure will be discussed and agreed before work begins.
If your experience looks like a good fit, we’ll share the specific project scope, asset requirements, and production details during the next step.
