My name is Jodie Shipley, DNP, PMHNP-BC. I am the owner of Community and Long-Term Care Psychiatry, LLC, a psychiatric-mental health practice based in St. Louis, Missouri (https://missouripsychiatry.com/). Our practice provides outpatient psychiatry, long-term care services, detox/MAT, cognitive screening, and clinical trials.
We are growing and looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to take ownership of our financial record-keeping on an ongoing basis . I am looking for someone who can help organize, streamline, and maintain our finances accurately.
The ideal candidate will have experience with small businesses, and familiarity with healthcare or medical practices is a strong plus. This is a long-term partnership opportunity for the right person.
Responsibilities:
Clean-Up & Organization: Perform an initial review and clean-up of existing bookkeeping records to correct any categorization errors and ensure they are organized for tax readiness .
Ongoing Bookkeeping: Manage monthly bookkeeping tasks, including bank and credit card reconciliations .
Accounts Management: Track accounts payable and receivable .
Payroll Coordination: Support payroll processes (experience with Gusto is a plus) .
Reporting: Prepare organized financial summaries and reports for management review.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with bookkeeping, particularly clean-up and reconciliation work. Please highlight relevant examples .
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online is required .
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently .
Experience working with medical, healthcare, or other professional service practices is a plus .
Must be a US-based bookkeeper (or have expert knowledge of US tax and accounting rules).
Details:
This is a remote, ongoing, long-term role.
Monthly retainer or hourly rate arrangement preferred .
Initial focus will be on cleaning up the books before transitioning to regular monthly support .
