Excel Spreadsheet Cleaning & Formatting

An existing Excel workbook is starting to slow down reporting because the raw data was compiled from multiple sources. The file now needs a proper clean-up and a consistent structure so I can use formulas, pivot tables, and dashboards without fighting errors.

Here’s the scope in plain terms: the entire sheet must be reviewed, obvious problems removed, and every column normalised to the same format. That includes spotting anything that stops sorting, filtering, or lookup functions from working smoothly—mis-typed values, stray spaces, mis-aligned dates, hidden characters, or anything else you notice while you work. If a lightweight VBA routine or Power Query step will save time, feel free to use it; the final file just has to open in standard Excel without external dependencies.

Deliverables
• The cleaned and fully formatted .xlsx file, ready for analysis
• A short change log (one tab or text file) noting the main fixes applied so I have a record for future audits
