I need an Excel-based rework tracker that captures every instance of rework on our manufacturing lines and then converts that raw data into a clear, automated weekly performance summary.

Here’s what I’m picturing:
• A clean input sheet where operators or supervisors log part number, date, shift, defect type, root cause, quantity and any comments.
. Tracker needs to show what’s in the inventory. Meaning it will have to add all the same type of rework and subtract when input says rework is done. Both type of input will be manual entry.
• Behind the scenes, formulas or Power Query consolidate the entries and a macro (or similar one-click routine) refreshes all calculations and charts.
• A “Weekly Report” tab that automatically rolls up KPIs—total rework hours, top defect categories, lines most affected, cost of poor quality, and a simple trend chart—ready to print or save as PDF for our Monday meeting. It also need to show what was added to rework list and what was completed.

The process should be as hands-off as possible: I paste or import the latest data, press one button, and the reporting automation does the rest. Protect critical formulas, keep the file lightweight, and include a short set of usage instructions so anyone on the floor can run it.

Deliverables
1. Fully functional Excel workbook with input, data model, and automated Weekly Performance Summary.
2. One-click refresh/export routine (macro, VBA, or Power Query workflow).
3. Quick user guide or short Loom video showing how to use and maintain the tracker.

If you’ve built similar manufacturing dashboards or quality trackers before, that’s a big plus. Let me know how you’d structure the file and the timeline you’d need.
