I have a collection of customer records that currently live partly in PDF documents and partly in a rough Excel file. I want everything consolidated into a single, tidy workbook and equipped with the right formulas so I can slice the numbers instantly.
Step one is pulling the information out of the PDFs and arranging it in clean, tabular form inside Excel—no manual copy-and-paste errors, and every column properly typed.
Once the data sits where it belongs, I need the following logic added:
• SUM and AVERAGE calculations for key spend, balance and contact counts
• IF statements tied to conditional formatting that immediately highlight missing fields, overdue payments or duplicate entries
• VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP where look-ups make sense, and XLOOKUP for the longer tables so future maintenance stays simple
All formulas must recalculate without broken references when new rows are appended, and the conditional-formatting rules should be easy to edit later on.
Please tell me about similar Excel/PDF data projects you’ve handled and the tools you used—Power Query, VBA, Acrobat, or anything else that shows you can get this done quickly and accurately. A short note on your experience is enough; no formal proposal needed.
The finished deliverable is one error-free Excel workbook, ready for me to export back to PDF whenever I need reports.
